Dilly Baked Halibut Fish
Ingredients:
4 halibut fish fillets (about 6 ounces each)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1.5 tablespoons What’s the Dilly spice blend
1 teaspoon lemon zest
Salt and pepper to taste
Lemon slices and fresh dill sprigs (for garnish)
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil or line it with parchment paper.
Prepare the Fish: Pat the halibut fillets dry with paper towels. Arrange them in a single layer in the prepared baking dish.
Make the Seasoning Mixture: In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, What’s the Dilly spice blend, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
Season the Fish: Brush or spoon the seasoning mixture evenly over the halibut fillets, coating them generously.
Bake the Fish: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The exact baking time will depend on the thickness of your fish fillets.
Garnish and Serve: Once the halibut is cooked, remove it from the oven. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh dill sprigs for an extra burst of flavor and a beautiful presentation. Serve the baked halibut hot with your favorite side dishes, such as steamed vegetables and rice pilaf.
