Cinnamon Vanilla French Toast
Ingredients:
4 slices of brioche bread
3 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon Aunt Cleo’s spice blend
1 tablespoon granulated sugar (optional)
Butter or coconut oil for frying
Maple syrup, fresh berries, or powdered sugar for serving (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Mixture:
In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, Aunt Cleo’s spice blend, and granulated sugar (if using) until well combined. Make sure the dish is wide enough to dip the bread slices in.
Preheat the Griddle or Pan:
Place a griddle or non-stick frying pan over medium heat and add a little butter or oil to coat the surface.
Soak the Brioche Slices:
Dip each slice of brioche bread into the mixture, making sure to coat both sides evenly. Allow excess liquid to drip off back into the dish.
Cook the French Toast:
Place the soaked bread slices onto the preheated griddle or pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
Serve:
Once the French toast is cooked, transfer it to serving plates. Serve warm with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, fresh berries, or a dusting of powdered sugar.
